  47. CHANGES FROM VERSION 3.20

  50. 1) The default graphics printer has been changed from HP LaserJet to NONE
  51.  
  52. 2) Plot files saved under version 3.20, are NOT compatible with version 4.00.
  53.  
  54. 3) The program will no longer run on the Panasonic Executive Partner (an 8086
  55. machine) without specifying VIDEO BIOS in the configuration file. Apparently it
  56. has something to do with the way the Turbo C v2.0 compiler checks for the
  57. graphics card. There are probably other clones that will have this problem.

  59. 4) The minimum velocity has been changed to 300 fps for those tables which
  60. previously went lower. Accuracy is MUCH better this way.

  62. 5) Maximum "height" has been relabeled to the more appropriate (and technically
  63. correct) maximum "ordinate". I *hope* this will eliminate some confusion... I
  64. suspect it won't.

  68. NOTES FOR VERSION 4.00
  69. ======================

  71. 1) Cursor size:
  72. When started, BALLISTIC examines the current cursor shape to determine what
  73. shape to use in overwrite mode. The program will ALWAYS change it to a square
  74. block in insert mode, and change it back to this "start-up" value in overwrite
  75. mode. (The documentation says it uses an underline character in overwrite
  76. mode.)

  78. 2) LaserJet and PaintJet users:
  79. Both of these printers will eject pages when printing a table FOLLOWED by a
  80. graphics screen dump. Try to print the screen dump as the FIRST item on the
  81. page to avoid this problem.

  83. 3) Unresolved problems:
  84. There may be a problem with round off in the figures provided for maximum Angle
  85. of Departure and Maximum Range. This will (hopefully!) be corrected in a future
  86. release.

  88. 4) Other graphics adapters:
  89. Registered users should be aware that the I have (untested or demo) versions of
  90. the following graphics adapters available:

  102. These drivers may support higher resolution or more colors than the "standard"
  103. drivers used by BALLISTIC.
